Welcome and thank you for visiting the 9/9H Corridor Study site. To date the committee had met on three occasions. Our regular meeting time is currently the second Wednesday of each month at 7 PM in the town hall. The public is invited.
To date the group has completed and application for a grant from the State of New York, Quality Communities Program sponsored by the Lieutenant Governor at the Department of State. The main purpose is to secure funds to contract a consultant with the ability and experience to complete this type of study.
April’s meeting focused our thoughts on items that we could accomplish in the near furture. For example the assembly of a questionnaire to be distributed to the townspeople for their thoughts and recommendations relative to the study. The group is also working on an agenda with items such as;
Collecting corridor data
Conducting visual analysis
Developing ways and means of Public Outreach
Interviewing consultants
We are informed that it could take between six and eight months to get the results of the grant application. The committee is moving forward on the mentioned items.
It is gratifying to know that we have a group of volunteers that are truly dedicated to working for the people and town as a whole, in keeping Kinderhook a beautiful place to live. Please visit this site at least monthly to get updated on our progress.
