Our office has Birth, Death, and Marriage records for all the people who were born, died and who were married in the Town Kinderhook over the past 100 year plus.
To obtain a copy of a birth record: The cost is $10.00 for each certified copy requested. Proof of Identification is required. All applicants must fill out a NYS form that we provide.
To receive a copy by mail: Applicants must write a letter of request to Kinderhook Town Clerk, PO Box P, Niverville, New York, 12184. This letter must be signed by the applicant and notarized by a notary public.
To obtain a copy of a Death record: Applicant must be an immediate family member of the decease. The cost is $10.00 for each certified copy requested. Check and Money order are accepted no credit card! Proof of identification is required. All applicants must fill out a NYS form that we provide.

To obtain a copy of a marriage record: Applicant must be the bride or groom. Applicants may apply in person at the Town Clerks Office, PO Box P, Kinderhook, NY 12184. The cost is $10.00 for each certified copy requested. Check or money order only. Proof of identification is required. All applicants must fill out a NYS form that we provide.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A MARRIAGE LICENSE
1. Both Bride and Groom need to be present.
2. Bring your drivers license or other form of photo ID.
3. Need to bring your birth certificates.
4. The cost is $40.00
5. Any divorce papers
