Description
The Supervisor is the chief administrative officer of the town.
The Town Board, comprised of the Supervisor and four council members, is the decision-making authority in Kinderhook. It passes local laws, manages expenditures, and oversees town operations
The department of Code Enforcement ensures that zoning, electrical, fire, and safety ordinances are adhered to.
The Highway Department paves and repairs roads, plows snow, and trims bushes in the right-of-way.
The Tax Assessor is responsible for the fair evaluation of all real properties within the Town.
The Town of Kinderhook Recreation Department was established for the purpose of conducting and promoting recreation, play, sport and physical education. The Recreation Department plans, organizes, promotes, and provides worthwhile leisure programs and facilities to serve the physical, emotional, and social needs of the residents of our community, regardless of one’s ability.
The Town Clerk is responsible for vital records, election results, and document management. It also issues a variety of licenses and permits
